HOW TO ENTER:
To enter, complete the information on the ACCE 2008 Cartoon Caption Contest page located at www.toonblogs.com beginning on Monday, July 28, 2008. Alternatively, mail your completed entry to ACCE 2008 Cartoon Caption Contest, Attention: Carl Nelson, 69 Temple Road, Wellesley, MA 02482.  Contest begins on Monday, July 28, 2008 at 2 p.m. EDT.  All Cartoon Caption internet entries must be received no later than midnight EDT, Friday, August 15, 2008 and all mailed entries must be received by midnight EDT, Wednesday, August 20, 2008.

NOTIFICATION:
One (1) Grand Prize winner will be selected from three (3) finalists who are to be judged on the creativity, originality, and humor of their entries.  All three (3) finalists’ captions will be published on the ACCE Cartoon Caption Contest page on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, along with each finalist’s name, city, and state. Voting will be open to the general public online from Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at 2 p.m. EDT until Tuesday, September 16th, 2008 at 5 p.m. EDT. Voting will also be available at the Annual Call Center Exhibition (ACCE) on Monday, September 15th and Tuesday, September 16th, 2008, at 5 p.m. EDT. The Qualified Entrant with the highest number of valid votes will be notified as the potential winner on-site at the Annual Call Center Exhibition (ACCE), as well as by registered mail, email and/or telephone on or about Monday, September 22, 2008.  Judges’ decision is final.  This contest is sponsored by United Business Media LLC, 600 Community Drive, Manhasset, NY 11030 and toonblogs.com, 69 Temple Road, Wellesley, MA 02482 (“Sponsors”).

PRIZES:
Prize(s): One (1) Grand Prize – full conference attendance pass to any 2009 ICMI contact center event in the United States, plus round-trip economy air travel to and from the event from a major airport nearest the winner’s residence.  Trip and conference attendance must be completed by January 1, 2010 and departure dates and return dates are subject to availability.  Travel must be arranged through a travel agency designated by toonblogs.com.  Winner is responsible for all other expenses including accommodations, meals, etc.  Taxes are the sole responsibility of winner.

Each of the three (3) finalists will receive a print of the cartoon, with their respective caption, signed by the artist who drew the cartoon (the “Prize”).

Approximate Value of Grand Prize:   $3,000.00 US Dollars (Three thousand US Dollars)

Approximate Value of Prizes Awarded at the Finalist Level: $300.00 (Three hundred dollars US)

Total Approximate Value of All Prizes: $3,300.00 (total) US Dollars (Three thousand three hundred US Dollars)

Judges from UBM and toonblogs.com (the “Judges”) will select three (3) finalists, whose entries will then be posted on www.acceicmi.com and toonblogs.com.  The general public will then vote to determine the winning entry.  The Judges will tabulate the votes and announce the three finalists at the ACCE 2008 Cartoon Caption Contest page on Tuesday, August 26, 2008. Finalists need not be present at event in order to win.  Three finalists will be selected on or about Tuesday, August 26, 2008 and the winner, based upon the tabulated votes, will be announced on www.acceicmi.com and toonblogs.com on or about Wednesday, September 17, 2008. The Grand Prize winner will be the person whose caption receives the greatest number of valid votes (“Votes”) from the public and who satisfies all the rules (“Qualified Winner”).  In the event of a tie, ICMI and toonblogs.com Judges will select the winning entry.  The prize will be awarded to the winner. In the event of unavailability of the stated prize, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute items of equal or greater value.  The Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash. Taxes are the sole responsibility of winner. Winners will be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility, liability release and grant permission to use his/her name and likeness for advertising and promotion (without further compensation to the winner) within 21 days of notification or an alternate winner will be selected.  If the winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within 15 days, an alternate winner may be selected, at the sole discretion of the Judges.  (Tennessee residents need not complete and return a publicity release.) Contest void where prohibited or restricted by law.  All entries become the property of toonblogs.com and will not otherwise be acknowledged or returned.

ELIGIBILITY: 
Contest open to legal residents of the 50 United States, including the District of Columbia (but not Puerto Rico) to those registrants who are 18 years or older, sign in and/or register with the www.toonblogs.com website, or who otherwise enter in accordance with these rules, and who have access to the Internet or are on-site at The Annual Call Center Exhibition (ACCE) on or before Monday, July 28, 2008.  Employees of Sponsors and/or its affiliates, advertising, promotion and production agencies and members of their immediate families (including spouse, parents, siblings, grandparents, grandchildren, step-children, step-parents and in-laws, or those with whom they are domiciled are not eligible. 

One entry on the Web Site per person, e-mail address or household is permitted.  Odds of winning are determined by the total number of eligible entries received. A purchase will not increase one’s chances of winning.  The use of any automated devices in connection with this promotion is prohibited.  Entries made on the Internet will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry.  In the event of a dispute, potential winner may be required to provide proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the potentially winning entry.

LIABILITY/TERMS AND CONDITIONS: 
By entering, participants releaseSponsors and their officers, employees, directors, agents and affiliates with respect to the use of the prize awarded herein, agree to be bound by these rules, and consent to the use of their names and likeness for advertising and/or promotional and/or marketing purposes without additional compensation. (A Tennessee resident consents to the use of his name and likeness only if such Tennessee resident expressly consents to such use.)  Sponsors are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry of information including, but not limited to technical malfunctions, human error, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof, entry materials that have been tampered with, or mail in entries that are illegible, late, lost, damaged, postage due or misdirected.  Sponsors are not responsible for any injury or damage to participants or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any material in this promotion.  Entries that have been tampered with or altered are void.  Sponsors reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this promotion if it becomes technically corrupted or if for any reason the Internet portion of the program is not capable of running as planned, including infections by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsors, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion.

This promotion shall be governed by the laws of the United States.
